Gun shot problems

Hey everybody I am in need of some help. My freinds and I are making a low budget action movie. The problem is we have prop guns, but they don't make that "bang!" sound, you know? So if anybody knows how to make a sound like that please let me know. Thanks

You should be able to pick gunshot fx off mp3 files on the internet. Try napster, or a similar website, and search for gunshots. I heard that the method they used to make
good gun shots in tomb raider was they
recorded pulling a table over a floor then
played it back faster.

(You can get some software which can change
the speed of playing sounds without affecting
the pitch)

Also the pushing stone noises was done by
droping some plates and then playing that
back slower.

Dunno how true all this is, but does sound
like you could have some fun making some
cool noises.
